I realised this was a good thing because it gave me a chance to design a solution from scratch, without any help, and without even reinventing the wheel! Trying to work out a process Log files ![]() Google wasn’t much help as most search results were to do with how long the computer has been logged on for, not how long the logon process took. I needed to automate this because there was no way I was going to sit at my computer with my stopwatch timing how long it took computers to log on. This obviously took a long time because I had to keep going down the list of computers until I found a computer with no one logged on. Luckily we are using SCCM, so I was able to search for a computer for a given site, make sure no one was logged on, then log on to it remotely and time how long it took til the desktop was displayed. I was asked to test a random computer from each city around the country, at 6 different times in the day. ![]() At work, I was asked to time how long computers took to log on to the network. ![]()
